Men ocasionally wore a 3 piece suit. The Edwardian upper class men in particular have been a custom to changing their clothes several times a day as it being formal. Younger men to switch from wearing the clothes of their elders adapted a look all their own with baggy plus fours and wide leg trousers. Suits were simpler with just slim, unpadded jackets over the trousers and fabrics and colours were lighter than anyone had seen in years. These clothes reflected the brightness of music theatre and good times.
